III. Goal-Orientation of our group meeting.
A. We narrowed the topic from “Cultural Diversity” to “Cultural Diversity in the Work Place” during the second meeting.
1. I was somewhat confused with the information under discussion. Why? Because I felt we could have chosen this topic during the first meeting and I didn’t have had spent over eight hours finding links and information about the subject.
2. Other group members were confused as well. They felt being lost among the amount of information we came across.
a. Members of the group had no disagreements. Shounna and I had just a little misunderstanding.
b. Members said that the topic was too broad and that we should make it narrower.
B. Our goal was to narrow the topic and came up with a new topic so we can present correct and very focused information on “cultural diversity”.
1. We had to get the basic idea for this meeting and we had more information than we could imagine during this meeting.
2. It did match with our goals. The only problem was that the topic was very broad. The amount of information we had helped us determining our topic.
IV. Conflicts and Critical Thinking of Our Group.
A. I was having trouble with the amount of time we were spending on one simple subject.
1. I did not find our conversation or discussion was conflicting. I think our discussion was very thorough.

3. No. Not at all. We did accomplish our goal within one hour of meeting and then we were just chatting and getting to know each other.
B. We joked and smiled a lot. We had friendly conversations.
C. No.

2. All of us were very knowledgeable about the subject except Kevin who joined our group later during this meeting. We discussed the topic by giving chance everybody to respond.

A. Our group started building trust by encouraging respectful active listening, and the freedom to disagree without being considered deviant.
1. Yes.
2. I will encourage others to speak freely without judging them.
