Third Day of our group
meeting.
I. Communication Network of our group meeting.
A: The most
talkative members of the group where Missy, Shaunna, Kevin and I.
B: The least talkative members where July and Tem.
II. Climate of the Group.
A: There was somewhat more trust than at the second meeting. We all could talk more freely and discoursed about the subject expected from members of our group.
1. No. We were very relaxed.
2. Yes. We discussed chat after meeting for approximately twenty minutes.
B. Not very much. Mostly we were
talking about Japanese unique ethics in the work place, which was our
topic.
1. I was comfortable. It did not bother me at all in any point during the meeting.
2. We were all comfortable, I would say.
3. I did not sense any nervousness or discomfort from anybody.
C. We were in the Norming Stage.
We all were very comfortable with each other and knew what we wanted the output to look like.
III. Goal-Orientation of our group meeting.
A. We narrowed the topic from “Cultural Diversity in the Work Place” to “ Cultural Diversity in the Japanese Work Place” during the third group meeting. I think it was the correct decision.
1. I was very satisfied. I knew what we were doing and where we were heading. We had quite a bit of information to do the presentation and present it to its best.
2. Other group members were also happy and excited about the information and the topic
a. Members of the group had no disagreements.
b. After about an hour of looking all aspects of the problem, all members unanimously came to this final conclusion.
B. Our goal was to plan skit for our presentation and present it to our group members for evaluation.
1. Most of us had very similar question and errors.
2. I think our group had done exceptionally well. During each meeting our group had done planning by Missy, our group leader, and executed by members exceptionally well. All work that had been done by meeting match my goal which made me very happy.
IV. Conflicts and Critical Thinking of Our Group.
A. During this meeting I did not see any conflict.

3. No. Not at all. We were always ahead of our goals.
B. We asked Missy to help us be on track by reminding of us not to call each other names and/or talk about off of topic.

2. Missy, who was the head of our group, had a goal during each of our group meetings and was constantly reminding us of where we are and what we should do now. It helped us stay on course and on schedule.
V. Issue of the Norms.
A. Our group had built trust by encouraging respectful active listening, and the freedom to disagree without being considered deviant.
1. Yes.
2. I will encourage others to speak freely without judging them.
B. Destructive norms have I noticed in our group.
I didn’t notice any destructive norms. Maybe me. I think I was distracted by some pretty girls, who where walking around the area we were in.
