Fourth Day of our group meeting.

I. Communication Network of your group meeting.

A: The most talkative members of the group were – just as always – Missy, Shaunna, Kevin and I.

B: The least talkative members where July and Tem.

II. Climate of the Group.

A: During this meeting we had built quite a bit of trust among ourselves. We all could talk freely and discoursed about the subject without any hesitation.

1.      No.

2.      Yes. We chatted about our tastes and what we like or don’t like in a friend.

         B. Quite a bit. We all talked about our personal lives – some about their love stories, others about their families or roommates.

1.      I am always comfortable with personal information. I think that people talk to me not because they expect to be guided from their problems but it is in the human nature to speak.

2.      They all were comfortable, I would say. All members did say something about them.

3.      I did not sense any nervousness or discomfort from no one. I only got told by one of the members that we did not have all channel network during the end of our meeting. But I personally did not see it. I don’t think any one can just expect all of us to talk to all our members all the time.

         C. We were in the Performing Stage.

All of us were very comfortable with each other and knew what we wanted to see during the group skit, and we made it happen.

III.         Goal-Orientation of our group meeting.

A.     Our goal was to bring our personal skit and see who made the best one and how we could present it clearly and without confusion during our presentation.

1.      I was excited. I knew that we were doing fine and we were way ahead of other groups.  We had information and almost all the pices of the puzzle.

2.      Other group members were also happy and excited about the skit and the achievements we had achieved so far.

a.       Members did ask a lot of questions about which skit we should put first and why.

b.      After a while we, as a group, made the final decisions on the presentation before the class.

B.     Our goal was to go home and practice for presentation in front of our group.

1.      We were on track.

2.      N/A

IV.        Conflicts and Critical Thinking of Our Group.

A.     During this meeting I did not see any conflicts. But just as I was reminded by one of our members, I tried to pay attention to two of our group member’s behaviour towards each other.

1.      I did not see any conflicts between members about the task at hand at all.

2.      I would say that all their problems were based on social ground and the lack of self-expression. I would also say that it was more of a misinterpretation than a problem.

3.      No. Not at all. We were always ahead of our goals. We did not get stuck thanks to the norms we head.

B.      Just as before, Missy helped us to be on track. She did exceptionally well by stopping any casual conversations which I think could have been waist of time in the long run.

C.     No.

1.      N/A

2.      Missy was always there to help us, encouraged us to speak up and asked even why we were agreeing.

V.           Issue of the Norms.

A.     Our group had been doing their work on time and we all knew what other members were going to do and what to expect.

1.      Yes.

2.      I will do all of my home work on time and won’t leave any of it to the last day.

B.     Destructive norms I have noticed in our group. One of the destructive factors I noticed was not the group members’ norms, but the place we choose to be.

1.      Yes.

2.      I asked the group if we could hold our meeting in one of the classrooms next door.
